Dear board,
I used to frequent this board 2 years ago, went thru the INS process
and now am happlily with my UK spouse here in the USA...NOW I am back
with a problem but it is my older FATHER...
months ago a woman named "Petula" who is from Sweden (friend of a
friend) befriended my 59 year old father (who is currently going
through a divorce here in Florida, not of his doing), it seems she
cane here on a visitor visa originally to meet a man and marry him (an
elderly man) solely for the purpose of staying in the USA...well the
man passed away, she since has gone to other men looking to marry to
stay here but has had no luck. My father is a kind person and feels
bad for the woman, who is now hounding him and his male older roommate
night and day because her visa has either expired or is about to, my
father told me this morning the woman not only offered 5000.$ but also
sex for one year if he marries her so she can stay in the USA which he
wants no part of. He cannot get rid of this woman and she has even
tried to book a cruise to get into International waters to changer her
visa (or renew it?) but was refused a ticket due to her visa status.
My father is almost 60, heartbroke over having to get divorced and in
a vulnerable position, I cannot find anywhere or anyone to speak to
about this woman, she claims to be a certified nurse, and speaks
German, amongst other languages.

Wow!!! This is really @!#!#!@@#!$.... can you talk sense into your dad? Or
call the INS, this is not really what the K visa's are about.

Oh boy, oh boy, I would stay well away from that woman, I would not let my
father get any where near that bitch, if he is so vulnerable you know the
next thing what will happen!

Report her to the INS. It's because of people like her that make it difficult for people like us with legitimate immigration issues.

Call police immediately.....ohh boy....poor father is in real trouble.

Get him out of it at any expense...you should not wait any longer..INS will take months to investigate... call police to get immediate and get a court order so that lady can not come within 100 feet near to your father and get relief before any bad things happens to your father!!

This is one for Mssrs Udall and Folinskyinla to remark on methinks. IMHO (and admitted lack of legal expertise, although I am a BIG fan of Law and Order, ) ) I would think the fact that the woman offered him money is a fraudulent act as far as the INS is concerned and who knows maybe offering free sex as a form of prostitution?!. Then there is the harrassment issue which could possibly could allow for a restraining order. This dame needs to hit the bricks back across the big pond and stay there.............

This woman is stalking your father, You need to report or call the police. Tell
your dad each time she come or either of her friends call the police.

I agree wholeheartedly with the posters who said you should contact
the police and INS. Having a copy of the police report should also
help back you up in your claims to the INS.

Your father has definitly got reason to call the INS and the police, but as other posters has said, the INS will take a while. Are you in FLorida with your Dad, if so you may have to call in the report for him, if he seems unwilling to do it
