At a local restaurant they have a special on Friday's "Fish and Chips" despite telling my colleagues that this means fries not American chips, one of them persists in asking for Fries instead of chips, even though I never ask for this substitution and get fries....sigh. Can you imagine a piece of fish being served with a plate of crisps??? Only in America would they imagine this would be an ok serving suggestion

I had about 5 relatives over last year, they all asked for sausage and chips in this restaurant. 'Course, silly buggers bought them a frankfurt hotdog and crisps on a plate They were pleasantly disgusted by the hotdog and the ready salted crisps, think they liked the mountain dew though!
