Football (soccer) team in Chicago
Hi everyone,
Im moving to Chicago in July and I am looking for a football (soccer) team to join.
I've played at a pretty decent level since I was a kid so im looking for a well organised, competitive league.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Im not having much luck google'ing the idea.
Thanks
Lee

Did you establish that your father had obtained US citizenship? Just trying to find out how you are able to move to the US in 2 months time.

No I sort of forgot about that route. My company is transferring me from Sydney to Chicago so I will have an L1 visa and then hopefully they can help me get a greencard

A quick google brought up this page. Also, there is http://www.tricountysoccerleague.com/ this one but that is probably too far out of the city for you, though I do know people who play and have played in it and it is competitive.
I play in a recreational over 30s league, which is again well out of the city (Libertyville) and we play short sided (8-a-side) games on smaller fields, so not probably what you're looking for, but there is plenty of soccer in the area, so you should be able to find something that fits.
One thing though, soccer seasons run a bit differently out here. Usually they are a summer sport, though there are lots of indoor leagues in the winter.

Yea like I did with tax returns! If I hadn't come on here I wouldn't have been told about needing to do tax returns and would of had a headache when I make the move.
