Ooh yeah. I found that out all right! $2300 is pretty good. Citizens or one of these new private companies that they are trying to push me onto? Try nearer $5000 down here. Of course they stuff you in the first year because the Homestead Exemption only applies in the second year. One reason I've had the windows and doors replaced with new hurricane proof ones is to drop the cost of the insurance...which it does BIG time.
