Right click and save to your computer...then upload to your avi...but unless you are a premium member you may not be able to as it's an animated avi.

Probably my problem. I'll take care of it tomorrow in FB's honour. To which he would make some sardonic remark.

Indeed he would.

If I remember correctly...non premium members can use the avi...but it won't be animated.

In his honour I am using my HP laptop...using Windows 7 and not an iPhone or iPad.

Us, minions, are not allowed to have animated avatars - I was going to do the same thing in honour of David.

You can save it as a static .gif and upload that. I considered upgrading to Premium membership (and still may), but on balance I think I'd prefer to send the $$ to the cancer charity in his memory, and adopt the static .gif for a while. :)

An end of year poll in his honour (in The Lounge forum)...as we have for Terry Pardoe and DollyLlama.

That's awful news. I had been thinking the other day that we hadn't heard from him for a while, then I started seeing the sheep avatars and found this thread.

I shall miss our exchanges, he was fun to debate with, even to disagree with. That he sent me some RAM to help me with a computer issue a while back, without asking for money is a testament to what a good bloke he was.

Very sad news, I will miss him a lot.

My condolences and best wishes to the family.

+1.

This brought tears to my eyes.

Fatbrit always teased me about my car (an Acura sedan), calling it a 'hairdressers car', and told me I must have a 4-wheel drive in Arizona. I just bought a new vehicle in January (a CR-V), and got the 'AWD' version. I remember thinking, "will Fatbrit approve? Probably not, he'll call this a hairdresser's 4-WD, not a real one".

He will live on in my memory for a long time.

Best wishes and condolences to the family.
