So what's your favourite fast food joint for lunch? And are there any that are actually any good? Can't be any worse than those photo's anyway

I think some of the "actual" photos are a bit off in color. Perhaps this is due to bad photography or lighting.

Sorry - don't have the stomach to even open Bob's link.

Only fast food I'll go for is Subway.

Or the fresh fruit cocktail kiosk at O'Hare etc.

I'm a Jimmy Johns over Subway any day of the week. Much better bread and more product (i.e. meat) in the sandwich. Started in Illinios and spreadying nationwide. Still, not as many stores.

For burgers, my new love is the East Coast joint 'Five Guys Burgers and Fries'. It's grown into somewhat of a regional power on the Atlantic Coast and is spreading inland. That said, I can only do it about once a month for fear of multiple heart attacks if I ate there more regularly...

Chipotle when I want a burrito. Again not that many, but McMexico is growing...

I don't know...it's probably the bright neon lighting in the fast food joints that help them look better than they are...

ugh!

The only fast food place I'll go to locally is Quiznos. We quit all the others after seeing a documentary where a guy ate nothing but McDonald's food for a month. His doctor was begging him to stop after a few weeks & after seeing the changes to his medical tests.

Potbelly Sandwich Works, recently opened in a few locations here in DFW, beat Subway and Quiznos hands down.

Only a small selection of sandwiches - all the same $4.60 regardless of type. Production-line style service where you choose your bread, it goes through a toaster, your chosen filling is added, then any of about 20 relatively healthy extras like hot peppers, olive oil, pickles, lettuce, onion, tomato etc.

It always feels relatively healthy for fast food... until I add their made-fresh-on-the-spot Chocolate Malt... and then that's my diet blown again!
