Default fall out with agency

Hiya
i wonder if you could give me some advice
i have signed with a nursing agency (who will remain nameless at present) but things between us are becoming rather strained
I have a GC (which i am travelling to the USA to activate in a month or so) they were my sponsers, however things are difficult, they havent treated me fairly (contractually or immigration wise).
Just wondered where i stood, i wouldnt have any problems getting another job (nurse) but immigration wise what would happen if we had a parting of ways???
Im not saying that i want to come to the USA and leg it from my contract but as i havent actually got to the USA yet and got my visa stamped who holds the cards in their hands? i assume its them until i actually get there?
cheers

As well as following Bob's suggestion, also search for posts by Rockgurl, a nurse, whom I believe also had problems with her agency that brought her over to the US.

If all else fails, you could send her a PM to ask about how she dealt with the agency.
