Elementary school system
I am a new immigrant and my son is 3.5 years old. I think that we should apply for the school place for him. I would be grateful for any instruction about the place where I can get more info.
In addition, there is a strange problem: due to my job, I travel a lot all over USA. Is there a must that my son remains in one place (school) all year long - or there is an option for him to pass the exams during the Summer. Are the school presence in the USA obligatory? Thanks in advance |
Re: Elementary school system
Friends of ours had real problems as the US schools are effectively a year behind so they needed extra tuition for their kids for when they returned to the UK - may be worth bearing in mind if you are heading home at any point

Thanks in advance I would question the wisdom of moving a small child all over the US throughout the school year. Children need stability. AFAIK, schooling is obligatory but some (most/all?) states have a homeschooling option. Again, your school board will be able to advise you. |
