Eddie Izzard in Atlanta
 

I'm not sure if any people out here are Eddie Izzard fans, but ever since I lived in the UK (to go to Uni) and my friends introduced me to Eddie I've been a huge fan. He's by far my favorite stand-up comedian ever!

So today my husband and I received a phone call from a friend informing us Eddie would be in Atlanta for signing and Q&A at Tower on Friday the 19th. My jaw nearly dropped! My husband and I almost planned our honeymoon to SanFran last year around his Sexie tour. He never came anywhere near Atlanta, which we were so dissapointed about. But now he's coming! Even if not for stand-up...but nontheless, I get to meet him in person, yay!

So for any people living in Atlanta that like Eddie...he'll be in town! :)

The guy is amazing. He was on Leno a couple days ago. Very funny. :beer:

Yes, I saw him on there. And he'll be on Conan on Tuesday, yippy! I'll have to stay up past my bedtime for that one. ;)

Atlanta appears to be his last stop on the signing tour, but before Atlanta he'll also be in the following cities in case anyone is near them:

Monday Nov. 15 at 7:00pm
Virgin Megastore – Union Square, NEW YORK

Thursday Nov. 18 at 7:00pm
Borders – Downtown Square, BOSTON

Eddie Izzard is a BLAST! He is such a good stand-up comic. His one man show (saw it on TV in Chicago) was so funny. I hope he comes to the East coast soon, around DC area would be so cool! :D

I'm a big Eddie fan (not seen him live sadly :( ) but what is he promoting on this side of the pond?

A DVD release?

He'd most welcome at the local drag bingo night I go too in Durham, NC! :)

Thanks for the info. We made it to NY for a sight seeing tour that just happened to coincide with the Sexie tour :o so may have to see what we can arrange.

Also...have you guys seen that amazon are doing an Eddie Izzard package......you get Glorious, Definite Article and Unrepeatable, all for under $40 !!!

Yeah, it's for 3 DVD releases actually: Unrepeatable, Definite Article, and Glorious...which is I guess why Amazon is doing a package deal for the three (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...s=dvd&n=507846).

Or it could be that I simply don't watch as much TV as others on this forum. The fact is that I'm not familar with this "Eddie Izzard" person. No offence meant, he may indeed be quite funny. But since I have little free time on my hands, I shall likely never find out.

If you know nothing off him, then why comment on a thread that discusses his appearance in Atlanta? Sounds like you're wasting your time regardless.
