Duvet Covers?

Duvet Covers?
Anyone know where I can buy one? Seems Americans prefer to sleep like old ladys with a sheet and a 'comforter'.
Just bought a nice big king-size bed from Ikea, but I don't feel like going all the way back there just for the duvet cover.... :s

I can't stand blankets and sheets either. I've only seen nice ones at IKEA and they don't sell them online.

Fortunoff (in NE US) had some (not great ones) and Sears apparently has them too (although I didn't notice them last time I was in).

Last time I was at "Linens & Things" they had some.
It drives me mad the whole comforter thing. We've just started using duvets in the hotel I work at and everyone's all excited like it's a new invention! But they drive me mad cos they call them Duvets and inserts...and look at me like I'm mad when I tell them the bit that goes inside is the duvet

I've seen them at different stores, but they're expensive as hell - so I don't bother.....

That bites, because I was going to suggest Ikea, lol. That's where we got/get all of that stuff.

Re: Duvet Covers?
The big chain linen stores (Linen and Things, Bed Bath & Beyond) and department stores will carry them.
You might have an easier time if you look for a "comforter cover." "Duvet" is not the preferred term in the US.

Re: Duvet Covers?
This annoys me all I want is a plan white comforter like we buy in the UK and the ability to change the covers and pillow case designs at my desire, I don't want to buy the damn thing with the printed pattern already on.

Re: Duvet Covers?
All of these are readily available. (I have them myself.) The chain linen stores should carry all of this.

get it online...but linen & things, Bed Bath & Beyond...Crate & Barrel...might even have it on target online?
And speaking of comforter, the missus grandmother is a bit of a quilt snob, so when the missus made one, we were informed it was actually a comforter because she had used a machine to sew it as a quilt is all done by hand Anyway, it's taken her over two years, but we finally got our family quilt last x-mas
