If you are not eligible to drive, what the police will do
might be the least of your worries, as you will not be insured.

Yep! Get on it. No excuses!
The consequences could be severe, escpecially if you were to have an accident.

My OH was stopped the other day for speeding, he has a licence but he cant be arsed to renew it (lazy b****d) so he got a speeding ticket and a warning for not having the licence and up to date registration on him.. I was suprised that he didn't have to present his licence and reg at the police station within a few days but apparently not.. He didn't inform the officer the licence was out of date...
He didn't believe me when I said not having a current licence invalidated his insurance til I got our Liberty Mutual guy on the phone who informed him of the consequences..
Get the licence

You refer them to the 1949 Geneva Convention on driving licenses, to which the US is a signatory.

What then follows will be very interesting.

If you get pulled over, anything from getting a warning all the way out from having the car impounded and you getting done for driving without a valid license and driving without valid insurance.

Usually somewhere in between....but the worse case does happen, well in Boston and paying to get the car towed from the Pike ain't cheap on top of the fines.
