Dress code for Oath ceremony
On my oath appointment letter it states that men must wear a coat & tie.
A coat? In San Antonio? In August?
Anyone have first hand knowledge of what most people wear at these things?
alex.

Congrats! The time of your ceremony is fitting, seeing as how you have already assimilated.

Re: Dress code for Oath ceremony
Someone is making this stuff up.
The law says that you have to take an oath - it doesn't say what you have to wear when taking it.
I would show up dressed comfortably and neatly - whether or not you wear a tie should be entirely up to you - I certainly would not wear one. If they are stupid enough to not allow you to take the oath because you are not wearing a tie, sue them.
