Slightly tangentially, heard on the radio that there was a rider attached to a big spending bill in regards to modifying the vwp.

It would have still happened, they just would have obtained the weapons through other means. Those 2 were not your typical loon and would not have stopped their plans just because they couldn't legally obtain something.

Unfortunately, it's that kind of thinking that leads to nothing being done about gun control.

I'm sure there is already a USCIS form where you have to include aliases and other names you are known by (maiden, married etc). Wouldn't be much to add another box saying online usernames.
Is it lying if you've forgotten some of those usernames? Sure it's easy enough remembering the recent ones but who can honestly remember their usernames on those early pioneer chat forums? I can't even remember the names of some the forums it's been so long since I used them or even if they are still active.

It has been rather noticeable in the last few days that discussion of the event has centred solely on the female, it appears to have been conveniently forgotten that the male was a 'home grown' terrorist?

California has any number of gun laws, by any reasonable metric they've got more than Canada at this point. The most embarrassing bit was when Gov. Brown tried to blame Arizona and Nevada and then ATF came out with a report saying everything used in the attack appeared to have been sourced in California as far as they can tell.
