Hello all,
I recently posted a thread asking for help concerning a dual nationality issue and the response was tremendous, i would like to thank you all for your support and help, one of the answers to my question was very interesting, it concerned tax advantages and also disadvantages, boy did that get me thinking.
I have been here for three years and the thought didnt cross my mine that i could be losing money on my tax bill (isnt PAYE so much simpler), if anyone out there has a some advice or a good story to tell regarding tax issues i would love to hear it.

On the other hand, if you take US citizenship then you need to continue filing US tax when overseas, although you may not need to pay very much or anything to the US. It's a quid-pro-quo for being able to return to the US anytime you like. I think there's less risk to your Social Security when living overseas if you're a US citizen but again - check.
Other than that I believe that GC holders are in general taxed the same way as US citizens.

Most USC's seem to think an Accountant is essential to file.
I have "The Complete Idiots Guide to Tax Breaks and Deductions", early days.
