My son started high school this year - they didn't have a list, which was nice. We just had to get him pens and paper and general stationery but it was fun standing in Wally World watching the mad rush for supplies.

Two more years and we have to start all over again though when our daughter starts kindergarten. Arse biscuits.

Ahhh, a new recruit coming up in the ranks! You'll get one out the door and the new one coming in!

Our actual registration form was already pre-printed (although my kids seem to change race every year....presumably to make their diversity quotas), but it was all the other stuff that needed handwriting in - 3 different emergency contact forms FFS! I queried the need one year (that would be a mistake, by the way!) and was lectured about how front office need the data in one format, the teachers prefer it in another, the district needs it in another yada yada yada...I don't think there is any new info any year, and it is all already in a computer system somewhere, so I have no idea why they can't just pull off whichever reports they need.

Ours were pre-printed too. Not entirely with the correct information though :-)

We live in Lancashire, UK but the boys' school information form has an option for travel to school by London Underground!
