I'm writing a paper. I have a paper, ppt. presentation, 3 articles to respond to, and an exam on Monday. No life until school is over I'm afraid - and this is an excellent way to procrastinate!

If you'd fall for it, you'd deserve a good kicking. It's not subtle in the slightest.

Have fun with your PPT; make sure to have lots of crap flying in and out of the slides.
I usually use it (BE) as an excuse not to get anything done at work. But the boy is asleep and I have some free time before I go night, night. Which reminds me you people keep posting thus keeping me up. Ok one more beer and smoke then I’m out. You’re such a bad influence people.

Oh - I haven't done that but I could show you my cheesy cover slide if I could figure out how to attach a pic.

OK I thought of a few other things that strike me as uniquely American:

spelling bees

displayed prices of stuff in shops not including the sales tax

tiny little towns of 500 people having their own police department which is an entirely separate jurisdictional entity from the police department of the tiny little town of 500 people five miles up the road

totally bonkers way of electing a president

What about elected officials - district attorneys, sheriffs, school superintendents etc........ Not sure whether this is a good thing or not...
