won't be online so much. If anyone is unfortunate enough to live down that way and fancies a pint, lemme know.

Re: Detroit
Congrats on the job, Manc. Detroit's Eminemland isn't it? You'll have to start wearing baggy pants and learning how to rap.

Great, you can now work on the belly, without feeling guilty about being a lardo, because everyone else will be.
Congrats on the job.

So come on what will you miss most about Manistee - Fred's Harbor Tavern, Moonlight Motel, the Lighthouse and surfing on the iced over waves this time of year - skiing at Crystal Mountain?

Re: Detroit
Well, on the upside, all of Mancs' worries and concerns for the future could go away in a flash (of gun powder) a few days after arriving in Detroit. Keep a few $20 bills in a mugger-accessible pocket or place on/in your clothing. $60 in three bills might just save 40 years of life. Seriously, a friend of mine did that down in Texas, he said he rather they took the money and did not shoot him, he had his line worked out, "Money in shirt pocket - take it." I guess he lived in a bad part of town or something, but a Texan roommate told me he would look under his car just in case someone was hiding under it, ready to slice the tendons of your Achilles heal. Apparently, it had become a way of robbing Texan folks upon returning with shopping to their car at shopping malls. I thought he was joking. I've since visited Texas, and did not feel particularly unsafe. Everyone seemed very friendly, including the mugger with the gun! *LOL* Sorry, I have a silly sense of humour.

Nice one Manc! Thats fantastic! State Farm won't be the same without you.
Good luck with the moving - that can be stressful as hell, be a bit different for you and the bread knife + bin lids. Let us know how its all going. I'm sure Detroit is nicer than it looked in 8 mile.
Well Done!
