Default DCF in UK - how long to get NETHERLANDS POLICE REPORT

Hi,
We are doing DCF in the UK and have filed our I-169.
My husband has lived in the Netherlands, and we know the embassy in London has to request a Netherlands police report on him. Does anyone know how long this might take?
THanks

for the DutchAmerican couples using the Consulate in Amsterdam.....it is
taking 3-4 weeks because the Dutch citizen cannot obtain it him/herself.
the Consulate has a private agency do that and there is no way to speed that
up.
I don't know if the 'police report' you need is the same one. Using my
imagination, I would think so but heck, with immigration things you never
know
ok, that was the long answer.....
the short answer is 3-4 weeks longest and shorter if the report is not as
detailed as for the Dutch citizens.

That is weird Eileen........I know the Conusulate takes care
of that, but it was sent over to *me*, about ten days after
filing all the paperwork. I had to bring it along for my
Consulate "interview".

Wow! That's strange, too. We went the K-1 route so I don't know if
the procedure for the police certificate is different with the DCF -
but this was something handled between the Consulate and the Dept. of
Justice, I believe. Peter was unable to obtain it himself, and we had
no control over the wait. We were told it would take 4-10 weeks to
process, and it took 6 weeks, I believe. It was the longest part of
the Netherlands' side of the processing....

Perhaps they've changed the way they handle this....

Thanks for the info, everyone.
We've talked with the consulate help line a couple of times - The bottom line is that they don't know how long it takes, but the police report is not requested until the I-169 actually gets logged into the computer (which they say currently takes 4 week once they receive the I-169).
