There was a difference with xe/hifx and Nat West in my case, but relatively small, and for me the timing was more important.
I still use Nat West, I can action over the phone, and I have found that the rate for smaller sums is pretty good.
I switched to Primecare some time back, you just ask to be put through to the International Currency section.
