Credit Report - How does a USC get one whilst still in UK?

The "free" credit report you can get is great if you want to see what's on the report, but it doesn't give you a score and for some that's important. The free sites also try to get you to sign up for everything and then is you forget to cancel before the end of the trial, they charge you monthly until you notice and opt out. A couple of great site with good forums about saving money etc are fatwallet.com and slickdeals.net

Go to the Fico calculator page and hit the big blue GET STARTED button in the middle of the page. Then answer the questions and get an estimate of your score. The calculator was written by the Fair Issac COmpany if you've ever heard of them -- so I'm rather unsure why you think it's inaccurate.
What are you going to do with this "accurate" score you've bought at great expense. If you're a mortgage broker or a loan underwriter, it'll be jolly useful to know the exact number. As Joe Public, it's as useful to you as a wool hat in Cancun. Use the free calculator and save your money.
