I've been banned (again).....I only go at Christmas, but this years little trip blew through the $200 barrier far too easily....oh well, the ban is only 11 months, so it'll expire just in time for next Christmas:) |

I was in just before Christmas and they had the veggie Atora. Didn't notice how much it was though - I try to avoid looking at prices in there!

You mean the World Market at Fry/99 next to where Wholefoods is coming? Or is there another one close by? I was in there just before Christmas - some stuff was quite cheap, some was a bit pricey... almost 5 bucks for Pataks sauces vs 2 for 4.00 in HEB, but the Heinz beans were cheap at 1.79....or was that at British Isles....can't remember

Re: Comfort Foods?
Beans are always cheap in Fiesta. I need to go to Phonecia to get some chorizo though.

My god, Soreen. If I was imprisoned in a cell made of foot-thick walls of that stuff and you told me I had to eat my way out, I'd reduce it to a shell an inch thick. It's a good thing I don't live where I can get that stuff, or I'd be as big as a house now. Do I like it? Um, it's not that... it just kind of, you know, seduces me into eating it. With fresh butter. Gah.
As for spotted dick... I would like to try making it, and also clootie dumpling... where DO you find suet? if your struggling to find a meat packing place - ask someone who you know that hunts, they most likely have a 'guy' who breaks down their animals for them.... |
