We just got back from the UK yesterday after being there for two weeks and though it was bloody cold 'n' horrible for the first week it wasn't too bad at all last week.

The temp and conditions in London yesterday were exactly the same as they were in MD when we landed - between 4-6 C and sunny. Not bad at all.

Yes it was bloody cold and 'orrible two weeks ago but my OH told me I could not complain unless polar bears showed up asking to be let in to warm up.

You are right mate .... he did say minus 10 c !.... They have very short memories back there. When I drove night trunk for a company in Northampton I can remember my fuel freezing one night as I went past Leicester Forest services on the M1 .... it was minus 38c. I think that was about 1985 ?.... sat for hour wrapped in blankets before some geyser arived and took me to the service area to defrost, when I got back to the truck the nice M'Way police had placed a parking ticket on my door

Now you're pulling our legs. If it's 39C below, how did the water in the geyser get around, eh, eh?
