What about the old Frankenstein and Dracula films Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee ones.
I wonder how St Trininas will go down? proto-feminist genius or on par with Benny Hill? A bit of both I suppose.

She is glued to Downton Abbey. I see Guiness and Sid James are in The Lavender Hill Mob, a strange combination in retrospect.

From your list Quatermass jumps out, she loves sci-fi.

"Kind Hearts and Coronets" and "Colonel Blimp" are a couple of classics that I have some how managed to avoid all these years. I love "Whistle Down the Wind" but I am unfamiliar with "Heavens Above!"

"Carry on Sergeant" predates the others and wasn't (IIRC) a Boulting Brothers production.

It has a great cast, including Terry Thomas, William Hartnell and Richard Attenborough.

Ta for all the suggestions thus far. I think this 'festival' might have to be an annual event.

and err..karma message was supposed to say 'thanks' I think I pasted a film title in by accident to some.

Carry on Camping, or whatever that one was, quite the classic too.

How about some of the originals that have been remade? You've already got a bunch, but I'm sure there are plenty of others....just had a good suggestion till I had a brain fart and now can't remember it.

Oh and some others you've probably seen, but Watership Down? and others of that ilk...

I wasn't entirely serious about On the Buses. I vaguely remember it.
Did anyone mention Trainspotting and Billy Elliot?

On the Buses is a classic but not in a good way

I remember seeing it in the days when you could go into the film any time, we started halfway through and then stayed for the beginning of the next performance.

I suppose it follows the good old tradition that very unattractive blokes can have unlimited sex with 'birds' who are always gagging for it.
