You have to give us more information. i.e. do you have a good income? Do you prefer public schools are can you afford private schools? What about commute times? Does this matter? If so, how long are you prepared to commute (probably driving, possibly on public transport) one way?

Hmmm...is this a joke?

It all depends on if your a USC, have a greencard or a work visa, the last would pretty much dictate where you move to anyway....then it depends on what life style you'd like, out doors v large cities etc...also if you have kids, if you like a warmer climate, like the snow etc.

I have a big map (from one of the Disaster Recovery companies) showing the natural disasters that are likely to befall each state. The only one that's ND free is Arizona.

Personally if you're looking for an ideal City then I recomment Naperville, IL true they have snow and ice plus a possibility of Tornadoes, buth it's a wonderful place to live

I guess you are asking him to move to California .

Large city: Check
Small city: Check
Private school: check
Good public school: Check
Good Jobs, pretty much every sector: Check
Warmer climate: Check
Snow: Check
Mountain: Check
Desert: Check
Republicans: Check (southern California)
Democrats: Check (all over)
Hippies: Check (Northern California)
Illegal aliens: Check (don't want to leave them behind)

Can't think of anything else, oh just one problem..... housing prices are through the roof up in your kahuna

Plus the fact that your sky high priced house is likely to get a bit toasty, or perhaps disappear altogether should the "Big One" arrive.....

Use marshmallows as insulation and eat your walls in case of emergency.

But the insurance sure ain't cheap now ...
I have a dent in my car's bonnet from a falling roof tile; my in-laws roof needed repairing, but it wasn't that bad.

Insurance rates are probably the biggest fear.

The worst thing about being in a hurricane is no electricity and no communications for a few days.
