Default Citizenship

Does anyone know how long it takes to acquire US citizenship in Texas?
I have also heard that you can apply three months before the 5th anniversary of green card award. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Rgds and thanks

Depends, if you own cowboy boots and a stetson already, saves a lot of time

not 3 months, it is 90 days.

I thought it didn't matter what State you lived in. Isn't it the same for everyone?

Considering that the incumbent is a Texan, perhaps he has had some influence over the naturalisation process for his fellow 10-gallon breed

some states have extra requirements like certain amount of residency after a move in that state before being allowed to apply...

The residency requirement is state specific? I thought it was 3 months across the board.

Go here, chose your closest district office and click Processing Dates to the right, read the entry for N400. Alternatively, think of a number, multiply by 6, add 83, then divide by the speed of light -- it's as likely to be just as accurate.

yeah, but some states have other requirements that you don't move around in the state for 3 months, like CA, so you can't just get to a better centre...

Thank you for the link - the perfect answer to a question.
It looks as though the processing time for naturalization is 6 months in Houston, TX.
