Just wondering since I'm coming over in April I will probably be overwhelmed by the ammount of network providers there are. Does anyone have any cheap recommendations? I have a blackberry so ideally I would prefer a PAYG tariff that accomodates the use of blackberry email and messenger and minutes will be just as important, I can survive with only a few texts.

More likely underwhelmed. Only a choice of AT&T or T-Mobile here, though I guess their towers might carry 3rd party operators. I was on a pay-monthly T-mobile contract on my existing iPhone when I first arrived, no contract, $50/month plus another $10 for an international package.
