Charlotte NC --- AOS interview success!
My recent interview at the Charlotte North Carolina District Office was
successful. My spouse and I arrived on time along with our attorney.
The interviewer called us in an hour and a half later, but we patiently
waited in the wait room, reading the newspaper and a book I brought
with me.
Once inside our attorney informed the interviewer that she would be
representing us, as an Adjustment of Status case. After that much of
the conversation was between the interviewer and the attorney. The
attorney handed overall all of the information that we brought with us
as the interviewer asked.
We were asked only a few questions such as how we met? When we met? I
was asked my address? Is the address current? When was the last time
you entered the country and where? I was asked to identify
individuals in the wedding photos, like the in-laws etc. I was asked
where did the wedding take place and who attended.
Once she looked through all of our evidence of bills including
utilities, payments of rent, insurances including life and health, job
letters, salary slips, bank statement, joint tax returns, photos of our
wedding and other occasions, my passport was stamped.
She told us that the card would be mailed out in 5-10 days. It
actually arrived in 5 days.
The interviewer told us about the procedure for removing conditions as
a conditional permanent resident and the interview ended.
We drove home and celebrated.
Thanks to everyone for all of your help!

Congrats on your success. Enjoy the celebrations & feel happy knowing that you can now forget all about this immigration stuff for a while at least!
