Former Prime Minister Sir Harold Macmillan died aged 92, the day after England last won the Ashes.

Which former PM would you like to see go ?

suprised me...but then I haven't followed it this year, be buggered if we did win it as I only didn't bother because we've always gone and lost it when I follow it *l*

The last match of the series starts tomorrow - England need to win or draw to win back The Ashes.

To answer the poll - isn't Callaghan and Heath enough for one year? No? OK - Maggie then.

Eh? Are you able to get the cricket on your TV in the States?

Who is broadcasting it?

(Actually I should check before posting this....is it on one of the Fox sports channels? Fox is owned of course by that ex-Aussie Rupert Murdoch......

UK Nova have been capping the games, so been able to get it thru that, but I've only bothered with the odd highlight, and also found a random stream that showed it, think it was korean though, shite quality as well.

I think that if history does repeat itself we'll probably see the same thing again.

...

And, who was it that said:

"The only thing we ever learn from history is that no-one ever learns anything from history"

??

Pedantically no one famous said exactly that but the 19th century German philosopher Hegel supposedly said (in German I assume for super-pedants) "The only thing that history teaches us is that nobody ever learns anything from history"

- of course, I'm trusting a web source so I'm probably wrong :-)
