California state board of nursing
Hi,
I have a bit of a problem with the California state board of nursing in getting approved to take the RN exam. I qualified as RGN level 1 in December of 1990 from Mayday University hospital in Thornton heath Surrey. California state board of nursing is requesting for the transcripts but the the school is no longer in business. California state board of nursing has accepted my diploma but without the transcripts I can't move forward. NMC (Lisa Cherry) has written directly to California State Board of Nursing explaining this but they still insist on the transcripts. Would anyone know where these records are kept. Help is much appreciated.

There might be nurses that have gone to the same school you had gone to that can direct you to finding your transcripts in the UK.

Even a lot of universities will keep transcripts for 10 years then poof they are gone. Can the NMC not send something with what clinical and theory hours are expected for you to be registered in the UK back when you qualified?

A quick Google search revealed MayDay Uni Hospital is now Corydon University Hospital. have you tried following up with that organization?
