British Sports Popular in the US?
I was just wondering, are there many British sports (as played in the UK) that are popular in the US?
I guess football (aka soccer) is kind of popular, although it's played mostly by teenagers.
Darts I think has a cultish popularity.
Is snooker (not pool) played in the US?
What about rugby? Is this another sport that's only played by kids?

Adult indoor football is pretty popular although perhaps not to the same extent as UK 5-a-sides.
I was amazed to see that Lacrosse is played at schools here (well, according to the American Pie). I thought that sport was only played in Enid Blyton novels.
Is squash played under the name of racketball in the states?
I wish badminton was more popular, I do miss thrashing a shuttlecock around.

Rugby's not really a kids' sport here - it tends to be played at the more exclusive/expensive colleges and universties.
Dubya played rugby at Yale:

Squash is played, some quite useful players around here. In Denver they have Doubles Courts, never came across those in the UK.
Racketball, Handball and a couple of others I have not quite worked out.
Tennis obviously
Football, mainly by school aged children, Boys and Girls.
Hockey, known here as Field Hockey
Cricket
Rugby, I was in Aspen last September when they had their annual Rugby Tournament, mainly an older age group.
I have not seen a Snooker Table.
