Great stuff! Steerpike My keyboard is just fine. But my nanny on holiday! Mum of three kids four years and under I am quite proud to even get a message out. Let alone write a proper one. But I will try to be more careful. Didn't mean to get on your nerves there.
So maybe my first question should be. How do I get a great full time nanny without paying a bomb as soon I arrive.

If it's around here, you can get a good one through word of mouth recommendations, but you'd better brush up on your Spanish and consider whether it's worth paying "under the table" to an undocumented person. Because, sad to say, it often is.

Thanks all. Speedwell I know what you mean. In London most of the nanny hire isn't kosher either to be honest. Neither are the cleaning ladies.
Language I don't mind. I had an Indonesian lady who spoke no English in dubai. She still after three years keeps in touch with us. She was a very valuable part of our family. As is our current One.
I suppose it's trial and error.
Wold it cost more than 300 pounds a week. Which is what I pay my current one.
