Oh dear, I'd like to apologise to all the UK citizens for jinxing that last round. Well we're stuck in the pits of despair in the medal rankings.

True, perhaps we should turn Wimbledon into a badminton contest in which communist countries can't play. Then we might have a chance of winning.

Like in the eventing, maybe we should appeal the result with Zhang's conduct? :)

Britain's morale-boosting first point of the game comes as Zhang, who has annoyed portions of the crowd and the British team with some questionable gamesmanship, sends the shuttlecock into the net.

Zhang has questioned line calls, queried the suitability of the shuttlecock and taken unauthorised breaks in an attempt to unsettle the unimpressed British pair.

*bashes the BBC over the head*

Great Britain have added a further two golds to their Olympic haul on day six, including a first gold.
Indeed, and they _still_ haven't added our gold to the medal table!

Bah! These games are a farce...

He appeared to have won bronze when Peirsol was disqualified for a freestyle kick at the 150m mark.

But the American was reinstated before Britain launched a counter-appeal.

After seeing this event on TV, underwater camera and all, you can see that the American didn't do anything wrong. Even the guy who came second agreed. He deserved his gold.
