"Newcastle have been ordered to play their game at Middlesbrough despite an outbreak of conjunctivitis (an eye infection) at the club.

Newcastle have five players affected and tried to postpone the game, claiming it posed a health risk to Boro players and staff.

The Premier League rejected Newcastle's bid after an independent expert ruled the risk was low.

A Premier League spokesman said: "On the basis of the present information the game will go ahead."

The spokesman added: "Should any new information come to light we will review it."

Goalkeeper Shay Given, Lee Bowyer, Andy O'Brien, Tony Caig and Laurent Robert have all been affected by the virus, forcing the club to shut down its Darlsey Park training ground."

Wow...is this proof that the old wifes tale of wankers going blind is coming true?

Wisla Krakow 0-2 Real Madrid: F Morientes (72, 90)

Well that's the end of that rumour. (Morientes-Owen deal)

I have to admit i was disappointed when Ritchie chose Dundee Utd over Killie...we would have a great central defence with him and Dindeloux. I'm sure by the end of the season he willl be wishing he signed for Killie. We should be strong enough for a top 6 finish this term! Here's hoping anyway!!

Tomorrow's Scummy:
(a bit short and crap this one)
Tomorrow's Sun
*Rapist lottery winner to be sued by victim's mother
*Ronnie Wood has taken up kickboxing to help him kick the booze
*Charlotte Church has had a pop at her ex lover in her new song, saying she never loved him
*Vanessa BB pictured looking angry and slightly scared at a Loaded party after some guy handcuffed himself to her and tried to drag her outside. Bouncers intervened
*Jason BB has had a tearful reunion with his mum after 28 years.
*Ally Ross: Prick
*Swimsuits for the British Olympic female swim team have had to have 'modesty patches' fitted because they go see-through when wet.
*Derek and Skeletor to design their own jewellery.
*Natasha Bedingfield has signed a six-figure deal to be the new face of iPod
*Madonna rumoured to be playing a secret gig at Essential in Canal St Manchester on Saturday, after her MEN gig.
*Elton John has been told to keep his nipples covered for his gig at the opening NFL game - by worried officials, anxious not to repeat Janet Jackson style fury.
*Centre spread: Bryan Westlife on life after boy bands.
*George and Lynne: Lynne rides a horse, fully clothed, and moans that the instructor is not flirty enough.

BRIT EXPATS FOOTIE PREDICTIONS:
Going to send out a reminder earlier because only 13 out of the 24 players have done their predicts for this Saturday.

Still, at least we got a good one against Hibs at the weekend. A slight shock, but anything to get one up Bobby Williamson!!

Killie are just like Hearts wee cousins now that Jimbo is their manager, how many ex-hearts player is that now?

I was down seeing Killie a couple of times last year, company I used to work for had corporate seats, absolutely brilliant day out. They have a great wee stadium, but always seem to have some fracas going on in the backroom, it all stems from the Fleeting days.

Talking of Fleeting's, Bobby Fleeting's niece was playing for San Diego spirit a couple of seasons ago and she scored a hatrick in the Womans FA cup final last season for Arsenal, and is in fact the second top female scorer in the world after Mia Ham. I just wish she was a bloke playing for the national side. At least one of the Fleeting's is good in football and not doing a runner with all the money. Bobby Fleeting married the daughter of a Multi Millionaire in Florida and now lives there developing shopping malls.

Just some useless information!

Is Owen Hargreaves *that* good ? - Spurs are in for him next week.
Diouf the Duff maybe going to Bolton - Is he *that* bad ?

West Brom have cancelled Lee Hughes contract, as expected.
Hughes himself is appealing his sentence. As expected.
Expect him to be let out to spend the rest of the year on his 150 acre estate in the Hamptons whilst the appeal is worked out ?
I don't think so.
