Default British Airways Chasecard offer back again

This card is an excellent way to accrue Frequent Flyer miles, ( Avios ).

You get 50,000 for the first use, then 25,000 miles after spending $10,000 and another 25,000 after $20,000. If you spend $30,000, ( in a year ) you receive a 2 for 1 coupon.

You can also redeem and earn miles on American Airlines, ( or other Oneworld carriers ). Around 40,000 miles would easily get you to Hawaii and back for about $15.00.

You also get 10% off BA flights.....

Now if I could just afford to spend what I would need to, to get those additional miles................

It is a lot, but you would still get 50,000 miles if you only used it just the once. You can also use the miles on the Channel Tunnel, 9,000 return to Paris or the same amount plus $40.00 on BA.

I realize this isn't for everybody, but it's worked out quite well for me and a few others I know

You don't need to be able to afford to spend, to spend...

I just applied (have never had an issue obtaining other air miles credit cards) and have just received a message saying that my applications requires further review and if ok they will send it out in 10 days. Has anyone else received this message?

Chase almost never grants instant approval - this message is entirely normal and I've received it for each of the 15+ Chase cards that Mrs tonrob and I have applied for over the last couple of years. It is no indicator of whether the card will be approved or not.

While they can be a bit quicker at times, Chase are generally much slower than other banks to review and approve credit cards. A wait of 2-3 weeks is normal.

However, if you want to push things along a bit then (888) 609–7805 gets you straight through to an application analyst. I usually call them 2-3 days after applying, have a quick chat with them and get the card approved there and then. Speeds things up quite a bit.

Interesting. They told Mrs. Weasel that she could only hold a maximum of 4 Chase cards. She had to cancel one with no balance so she could get the Southwest card with 65,000 miles.

I currently hold 7 active Chase cards in my own name. I think they tend to make the story up as they go along.

I've just received a welcome e-mail from BA Blue Executive Club with a membership number - I'm taking it as a good sign they have approved me...

With Chase, that doesn't surprise me one bit.
