Thank god Robbie bloody Williams didn't win best male again, that was getting very boring. Though not really into James Blunt either. KT Tunstall is brilliant caught her on Later with Jools Holland before we moved here and was blown away.
Kaiser Chiefs are nothing special nor are Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party are much better.

I just did a search on http://www.bbcamerica.com for the Brit Awards and no mention at all of this year's event.....just listings for the awards from last year!
Then I noticed that one of those programmes was transmitted last October!
I guess the most recent awards won't be on BBC America until later this year FFS.....

I gave up on BBCA a long time ago, mainly due to their insistance on playing the same 5 shows over and over again. The sad thing is, that some people might actually believe that it shows "The Best Of British Television", when all the really good British shows seem to be on other channels (Doctor Who on Scifi, Hustle on AMC, MI-5 (Spooks) on A&E to name a few).

I've just got back from Best Buy and whilst in there I spotted the CD by the "Best British Female" at the Brit Awards - K T Tunstall, " Eye to the Telescope".
It was only $9.99 and as I was curious about who she is, I bought the CD.
It is surprisingly good. She is very similar to the new Aussie superstar, Missy Higgins. Some of the songs are upbeat - my favourite is "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" which I'd remembered hearing a few weeks back on the BBC World Service radio on XM (sounds a bit like Joan Osborne on this track) and others are ballads and good to listen to on say, a Sunday morning.
This is what I've found out about K T Tunstall:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...875308-9902348 (scroll down for the reviews - all excellent)
I also bought the CD 'Unwritten' by Natasha Bedingfield and she's getting a decent amount of airplay on the radio in the New York area.
PS: Here's the info re; Missy Higgins...saw her in concert a few months ago in New York and she has such a pure voice. She sells out stadiums in her native Australia and has won many awards there:
