BORDER CHAOS

While Tom Ridge is not shy about warning Americans of impending terrorist
activity he is reluctant to do anything about securing our borders. The chaos
at our borders allows terrorists to enter our country almost at will. Ridge
must be a member of the Flat Earth Society if he believes another warning will
stop terrorists from crossing our borders. After almost three years since
9/11, it's time for him to put down the microphone and start taking the action
that should have been taken years ago.

Signs of increased activity at our borders have been detected. Coyotes have
increased their fees and the apprehension of OTMs (other than Mexicans) is on
the rise. No one knows how many terrorists are in the country---some estimates
place the number at 3,000 and many think it is an order of magnitude higher.
Aggressive, not timid, action is required by Ridge to protect the nation.
There is no way to stop terrorists intent on committing suicide other than to
keep them out of the country. Once they are inside the country, it`s doubtful
whether they can be stopped. We need more interior enforcement and the use of
the National Guard to backup our undermanned Border Patrol.

Oh why waste time - let's just
bomb the hell out of the border region. Hey, maybe we'll even find an
extra oil well in the process.
