Default Big mistake at dfw

Out two sons arrived at DFW on Jan2 with their extended L2 visa through 2014....just going through process on new passport application and saw that that Immigration put B2 visitor visa on white I94 with departure of May this year on one child and the other child has L2 with 2014
Now we got to go through a process to get this corrected
Always check therefore your I94 before leaving immigration entry...aarrgghh

That's good advice. Did the child even have a B2 visa in the passport? I presume the process you are undertaking is to get it corrected at a deferred inspection location or port of entry? What part of the US are you in?

Was L2 visa in passport
Both children went up together to the officer also
Very strange how that could happen, but we all make mistakes

How old is the child that was not given the proper L2 notation?

Well it's clearly a mistake on their part since they can't just admit someone in that manner without a B2 visa in their passport. It shouldn't be a difficult fix.
