Best way to transfer funds?
Hello, I am about to start my E2 visa process.
I need bit of advice on transferring fund (around £140,000 from UK to USA), one i know if trasferwise any other suggestions?

Hi, I've edited your thread title - it's nothing to do with your visa, and I don't want people who know about transferring funds to think it's a visa related question and not look at it!

For that sum of money probably worth shopping around online and then try negotiating a deal on the phone.

I initially used TorFx for my substantial house sale proceeds. More recently I have used Transferwise for smaller sums.

I've used TransferWise to transfer small amounts. Moneycorp is also recommended. Just make sure you have a valid proof of address in the USA. And online bank statements can't be used a proof of address, as I just found out. A notarised letter from my bank here was also not accepted. Was hoping to transfer money over here before the Brexit vote, but looks like it will have to stay where it is.
