I've lived in London all 36 years of my little life but am about to head out to the US with my Bostonian wife of 3 years, my 6 week old son and my dog!!
Not only is London expensive, most of it is pretty unsavoury and definitely no place to bring up a little'un.
"When you're tired of London, you're tired of life" was fine for Oscar Wilde to pontificate about but he lived in a vibrant, cosmopolitan and exciting city, not the congestion charged, 100 degree Tube, gun culture, rubbish strewn, tourist packed metropolis it is today.

Good luck 'Gee1671' on the new job. I haven't a scoobydoo what we're gonna do when we get there but we're gonna have some fun finding out!!
