Did you mean why did I not know what to say? I think the irony of the Turkey Man dying on Turkey day just seemed too much. I couldn't decide whether to be respectful or roll out the turkey jokes :eek:

Matthews was a Brit who lived in the UK. When I lived in the UK I never gave US Thanksgiving a second thought and no-one I knew did either.

At the cremation wrap him in foil and don't turn the oven off until the juices are all runny.

There were more grim headlines in 2006 when an animal welfare group called for an inquiry after a court heard how two Mr Matthews' workers were filmed playing "baseball" with live turkeys.
