Isn't there a techie way of making the thing think you're in the UK? Didn't someone say recently they'd got around the BBC news subscription thing by reconfiguring their player or something?

I e-mailed the BBC saying I would be willing to pay a subscription fee but, surprise, surprise, never heard anything back from them.

We cannot get the ITV News on Directv anymore

They might have used a UK proxy to do this, but they are normally pretty slow. It helps if you have a relative who can run it for you.

Yes, I think I remember someone saying you need to enter a UK postcode, I couldn't find where that info should be entered though...
