Agreed, due to the lack of annual leave, we need ALL the holidays to make up for it!!!

My company takes Good Friday off. Everyone I know seems to celebrate Easter.

We actually are given GF as a holiday also, but every year the Union votes to trade it for the Friday following Thanksgiving (which is an unpaid day off otherwise).

Blimey thats a good deal - 14 days off not counting your annual entitlement on top of that (and how many days do you get for that, if you don't mind me asking).

Bit surprised by the Texas Independence Day though - didn't anyone tell them they're part of the union?

I am lucky I have, New Years Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Texas Independance Day, Good Friday, San Jacinto Day, Memorial Day, 4th July, Labour Day, Veterans Day,Thanksgiving Dayx2, and Christmas Day x2.

Memorial Day
Independance Day
Labor Day
Columbus Day
Thanksgiving
Christmas Day

Thanks and wishing you all a Happy New Year.

Well of course they celebrate Easter...but you won't get a huge holiday...the schools get maybe a long weekend......you tend to get a week off during spring break...but that's probably just if you are a teacher

Every company I worked for has had what were called "floating holidays" that you could take off for religious reasons -- i.e. Easter, Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

Where I live more people want Yom Kippur off than Easter
