Not a bad deal, but not as good as the one they're offering from the UK right now, which is a pair of Club World seats for GBP2012.

Still - will make for a very comfortable flight. Enjoy your trip!

(P.S. Don't forget the arrivals lounge at LHR).

That was a good deal but ex UK only !

Just received an email from Virgin offering pretty much the same deal as I got only in Virgin Upper Class http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/us/en...lefare-_-Dec11

Perhaps I should have waited ?

Is Virgin Upper Class better than Club World? I'd sooner get the BA miles and Tier Points as Virgin's programme is fairly useless.

I agree, 32,000 miles , ( includes chase card rewards ). Plus 300 Tier Points swayed me , also I will stay silver for another year

Funnily enough I have never failed to drink my fill in Club World despite the absence of one...

Virgin First Class knocks spots of BA's First Class...nevermind biz class...or at least it used to do. It's a long time since I flew Virgin as they do not fly Newark to Manchester direct. These days I have to make do with Continental...

Virgin don't have first class. Upper Class is a business class product, so BA's Club World is the fairest comparison.

Business Traveller magazine 2011 Awards rated the top 5 business class products as follows:
Best Business Class

1 Singapore Airlines
2 British Airways
3 Qatar Airways
4 Emirates
5 Virgin Atlantic
To be fair I've never flown Upper Class, but have read a lot about it. I'll always take BA instead however for the whole package - including the number of routes, better frequency of flights and number of lounges, and the much better frequent flyer programme (rated #1 in the appropriate Business Traveler category).

All of that said, I know quite a few people who swear by Virgin and are very loyal to them, so they must be doing something right.

Yes sorry...Upper Class. Haven't flow Singapore Airlines but my husband has flown biz class many times and rates them very highly.

BTW he's addicted to sprouts too.

I've never been fed sprouts on a plane. Now that's an airline that'd get my business!
