After 10 years of buying various kinds of insurance here by doing our own research I went to a local agent last year for policies for car and house, and we cut our premiums by nearly 50% with the same deductibles.

He talked through deductibles, whether we should take out an umbrella policy, etc. Was really helpful...

yes, my people were a local agency. I spent ages going through all that stuff too. didn't save us 50% though!!!
