applying for health insurance to a visit back to the usa
Will be going back to visit family in the usa next year and was wondering about getting long term health insurance. Has anyone had a problem or have you any words of wisdom on this. I will have my uk residency but am a dual citizen. Can I get long term travel and health insurance? Has anyone done this. I wont have health insurance in the usa so will need some. Any ideas anyone?

How long is the visit for?
As a visitor you won't get a health insurance company in the US to cover you for any period, so you are looking at travel insurance or some equivalent policy from the UK.

I believe in the UK it is easy to get reasonably priced travel insurance that includes health insurance. You can get a policy for a single trip, or an ongoing policy that covers all the trips that you take over the course of the year. My son now lives in England, and visits the US at maybe twice a year and he has an ongoing policy that I believe is not too expensive.

Sounds like straight forward travel insurance to me, but make sure the cover is sufficient for US medical costs.
