Applying for H-4 visa for new wife.
Hi, I am on H1-B visa here for last 5 years. I got married 3 years ago and my wife
entered here on H4 visa. Due to some problems, she went back to India and we got
divorced. Now I am marrying again and want to bring my new wife on H-4 visa. Will I
face any problems in getting her visa. Now I am legally divorced. What additional
things should I do for my new wife's H-4 visa. I heard somewhere that I have to
withdraw H-4 of my ex-wife. But her visa is already expired. Can someone please help
me in this matter.
Thanks in advance, KVK

Shouldn't be a problem. Just be sure to show not just your marriage certificate,
but also the documents showing that your divorce was final when she applies for
her H-4 visa.

Re: Applying for H-4 visa for new wife.
Barath:
Definitely should not be a problem. I would not mention divorce unless specifically
asked. The law says that the spouse of an H1B is entitled to an H4 visa.
Two years ago I went back home to the Caribbean and got married. My wife took my
passport (containing my H1B visa stamp) into the local embassy and later that same
afternoon she had her H4
Good luck
