Apparently I've been in the wrong state all these years!

I'd been dreading today, it's always hot in August and I knew we had to be outside at a carnival from 3pm on.
Well it's cloudy, and tropical, it got up to about 85 and we had occasional rain drops and occasional sun. I loved it, I could have stayed out for hours more in it, I hardly broke a sweat!
All these years I've been in the wrong place, who has this great weather in summer?

You'll be telling us next that you will be abandoning your plans to move back to the UK next Spring as you won't be able to cope with the cool British Summer weather lol!

I'm spending the summer in Toronto...almost 100F + high humidity and I'm loving it.
Winter will be upon us all too soon.

That or we'll have to travel to Spain, they get some humidity don't they? Not sure if I could cope with 100 and humid, but then I've never tried I might like it. I think the cloud helped a lot, my eyes didn't hurt and get all tired like in the sunshine.

We had 95 and humid yesterday.. It didn't cool down at night, and we don't have AC. And, surprisingly, I was tolerating it. OMG, I'm becoming acclimatized to this place after twenty two years? That's scary.

Family in England ask if we miss those overcast, wet, rainy summers in England? Do I ever!!!! If I live through this miserable summer, I'll be astonished . . . .

Don't know what temperature it was today, other than too ruddy hot. Summer is seriously overrated. Bring on the sub-zeroes again. It's 51 days till my local ski resort start snow-making - not that I'm counting or anything.

I remember when we lived in Minehead in Somerset, going for a long coast path walk one December 31st, and noting that it was warmer that day than it had been six months before, June 30th. Both days were ideal hiking weather, and the gorse was gloriously in bloom both days! I'd like to see something trying to be in bloom in mid winter here..

I hate how hot and humid NY can get!!! It makes you want to stay in the car/home all day hugging the AC!!! I tell you my husband thought we could survive without an AC ... Within 24 hours I had bought one haha he loves the heat I have to say there is something about a warm but overcast day that speaks to my heart...haha
