Anyone got HD TV?
Thinking of upgrading to HD TV reception, have the TV already just need to change the signal I get.
So anyone got it? What do you think? Will cost about $20 more than I pay now, worth it?

Not got. Father-in-law bought a new set that supports HD, but refused to pay DirecTV the extra few bucks to get the HD package - says he is paying them enough. I believe DishNetwork has the biggest HD package, or so the commercials here in Texas state.
I suppose if your a movie buff then its worth it. I'm all against charging more for HD, unless they drop the commercials. Why pay $20 a month to see some slimy 'lizard' in stunning high resolution selling car insurance

Got the HD TV. Have comcast cable. Comcast cable is a rip off, but hdtv is worth it! Especially for sports!! Movies are good in HD too, but I think watching sports in HD is the best

The original LBJ version, was that the man couldn't fart and chew gum at the same time, but the papers were prudish and changed it.

Re: Anyone got HD TV?
We have it through our Brighthouse cable TV. If you have the digital package, you get some HD channels included in that anyway, including Discovery HD Theater, which is great.
We pay an additional $6.95 a month for the HD Pak, which gives another 6 channels or so.
Picture quality really is fantastic, as is audio, which if you have your TV rigged up to your surround sound system comes across as true 5.1 sound. World Cup in HD was great, shame about the commentary!
