Isn't Flint, MI the town where Michael Moore came from? I have his DVD called "Roger and Me" and it does look like a very grim place to live.
It's also featured in "Fahrenheit 911" too, I seem to recall.

Glad to hear the crack whores have improved their dress sence, lol Guess it's going to take a long time, but sounds like regeneration's a good thing for the place... though judging by what alot are saying, stick to the burbs, and only ventrue in for concerts / game or the Ins office... It's good to hear that there's still plenty of stuff to see/do in the metro area + Michigan overall looks like it has some great spots to go visit... from a completely naive 'tourist' point of view, with nothing but the internet and a tourbook to hand!... funny thing is, the AAA tourbook makes Detroit out to be a great place to go visit / walk around down town.
