. Firstly, you really have to have stuffed up royally to get deported, and there are other jobs out there if you lose the one you have. Sure, challenges prevail but if you are of a rational mind, you usually try to avoid the usual land mines. Most resourceful folk do what it takes to move on from a challenge - and can do so quite successfully. Should one choose a life of crime, or come here illegally, your odds of getting booted rises exponentially.

The death of the policeman happened in Liverpool England. The footballl coach worked on Oklahoma City and was at home in liverpool at the time for christmas. He had been at home in liverpool for a week prior to the killing. It will come out at trial but the off duty officers appear to have been recognised by spendlove and his mates as police officers.

It's a massive tragedy both accused men had really done something with their lives . It could have happened anywhere in the country a lot of lives are senselessly wrecked this way. This is down once to again to the english binge drinking culture. The violence in america is down to american gun and gang culture in the inner cities they have the gang gun culture we have the binge drinking culture. Neither will ever change no matter how hard anyone tries.

Guns are not outlawed in the US , but they are very much in my old home town of Sheffield Yorkshire where someone was just shot and killed

We have shootings in Canada too, this one appears to fairly minor and doesn't say who the victim is, but my guess gang related.
Ottawa's Tanger Outlets mall shooting injures 1 - Ottawa - CBC News
Generally though, shootings are almost always gang related and unless in a gang, you have a low risk of being shot here.

I live in Texas, in the suburbs bordering on the old towns, I know many of my neighbours have shotguns, and probably handguns quite a few too, but I NEVER EVER see a gun except on a police officer or security guard. It's not like they're all running around brandishing weapons...concealed=hidden!
The only gun violence I have known of personally were suicides, which is sad.
My only anger with guns in the US is when adults leave them around for children to use- they should be in gun safes.

thirtieth highest percentage of gun ownership by state, at 35.9%. Even North Carolina is higher, in 23rd place with 41.3% gun ownership.
Also, perhaps even more bizarrely, and counter to the stereotype of gun-toting Texans, Texas is only of only SIX states where "open carry" is prohibited, along side generally gun-unfriendly states of California, Illinois, and New York. Also SC and FL.
